TAME Airlines was a flag carrier airline of Ecuador that operated from 1962 to 2020. The name TAME was originally an acronym for “Transportes Aéreos Militares Ecuatorianos” (Ecuadorian Military Air Transport), reflecting the airline’s origins as a branch of the Ecuadorian Air Force.
Over time, TAME evolved into a commercial airline that served both domestic and international destinations, including several cities in South and Central America, the Caribbean, and the United States. The airline had a fleet of Airbus and Embraer aircraft and was known for its affordable fares and good customer service.
However, due to financial difficulties, TAME ceased operations in 2020 and its assets were liquidated.

Domestic Flights: For flights within Ecuador, to the Galapogos Islands, and between Ecuador and Cali, passengers are permitted 1 piece of baggage of 23 kg maximum weight. The maximum dimensions for this baggage are 158cm or 62″. Passengers who exceed this allowance may be subject to excess baggage fees.
International Flights: 2 pieces of 23 kg maximum weight baggage is permitted on routes between United States and South America, between South America and between Ecuador and the Caribbean. The maximum dimensions for this baggage are 158cm or 62″. Passengers who exceed this allowance may be subject to excess baggage fees.
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers are allowed hand luggage allowance of 1 piece of 8kg of 55cm high, 35cm wide and 25cm depth and 1 personal item such as notebook, camera or baby book.
Check-In Information
Online Check-In
Passengers can check in for their flights online via the TAME online check-in page and clicking the check-in tab. This service is available between 24 hours and 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. You can cancel web-check-in from 48 hours up until three hours before your scheduled flight departure time.
Airport Check-In
Passengers can check-in at the airport of departure by visiting one of the TAME check-in desks. The airline asks that you arrive for check-in at least one hour before departure time for domestic flights and at least three hours before for international flights.
