About Orient Thai Airlines

Orient Thai Airlines, also known as One-Two-GO Airlines, was a Thai airline that operated from 2003 to 2010. It was a low-cost carrier based in Bangkok, Thailand. The airline provided both domestic and international services to various destinations.

Orient Thai Airlines initially started as a charter airline in 1995 under the name Orient Express Air. It operated charter flights before expanding its operations to scheduled passenger services in 2003 under the new name, One-Two-GO Airlines.

The airline primarily served domestic destinations within Thailand, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hat Yai. It also operated international flights to countries such as Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Orient Thai Airlines faced several challenges during its operation, including safety concerns and financial difficulties. Tragically, the airline was involved in several accidents, including a fatal crash in 2007 in Phuket that resulted in the loss of many lives. These incidents led to increased scrutiny and a negative reputation for the airline.

Due to financial troubles and safety concerns, Orient Thai Airlines ceased operations in 2010. The airline’s Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) was revoked by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, effectively grounding the airline’s fleet and ending its operations.
