Business Class

Passengers are permitted 2 pieces of cabin baggage, plus 1 Personal Item (such as laptop bag or handbag. Cabin baggage must not exceed the dimensions of 56 x 36 x 23cm, and must not exceed 10kg in weight.

Economy Class

Checked Baggage

Free checked baggage is allocated based on your route travelling, ticket class and additional terms and conditions of your ticket. Therefore the following information is to be used as a guide only. Please check the terms of your individual ticket fare to see your permitted checked baggage allowance.

Business Fare

Passengers are permitted a total of 40kg luggage, with each item weighing no more than 32kg.

Flexi Fare

Passengers with Flexi tickets are permitted a total of 30kg luggage, with each item weighing no more than 32kg.

Shuttle Fare

Shuttle passengers are allowed 30kg checked luggage.

Value Fare

Passengers with a value ticket are permitted 20kg of checked baggage.

Economy Class offers a range of facilities for you to enjoy. Various amenities are on offer depending on your flight journey time.

You will get free water supplied in the flights to and from India. Flights to and from other destinations will need to purchase drinks onboard.

On ATR routes, you can purchase drinking water or coffee and pastry on board.

In-flight entertainment is also available for passengers to enjoy in some flights.

Seating in Economy

Economy Class seating is designed as reclining leather seats, making them fit for comfort whilst providing great value. The seat pitch (distance between back and front of each seat) is 32 inches.

Choose from the latest releases from Hollywood, or some older classic movies, with both international and western options to choose from. There are also a selection of TV shows, music and audio entertainment, and also games which can be played on the entertainment screens.

Meal Options

The airline offers passengers a selection of delicious Malaysian specialities, including dishes such as Mamak Mee Goreng, Prawn Sambal or a simple Omelette.

On flights on Boeing aircraft, Business Class passengers will receive snacks on flights under 1 hour in duration. For flights over 1 hour, business class passengers will receive a meal. Water is included regardless of the duration of your flight and the class you are travelling in.

Economy passengers flying to and from India on Boeing flights with the airline will be given complimentary water. Snacks, meals and drinks are available for pre-order and buying onboard.

On flights operated by ATR, Economy class passengers will be able to buy snacks and drinks onboard.

On flights operated by Boeing aircraft, there will be a beverage service in the Business cabin no matter the duration of the flight. For Economy Class, passengers on flights to and from India will get free water. All drinks will have to be purchased on all other flights. For Malindo Air flights operated by ATR aircraft, economy passengers will be able to purchase water and coffee in-flight.

The airline does not currently serve alcoholic beverages onboard their flights.

Online check-in is available on the Malindo Air Online Check-In page. You can also check in at the airport, either at the kiosk or at the counter. Counter check-in closes 30 minutes to 1 hour before departure, depending on the airport you’re flying from and opens 3 hours before departure. Kiosk check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes 75 minutes before departure.
